Harley Quinn, this is part of a Batman sleeve I got done a while ago. Lot’s of sessions and lot’s of fun. Done by Johnny Andres at Division Tattoo in Madison Heights, MI
I got this tattoo by Jay at Vision Burn Tattoos in Pennsylvania. I live in Maryland, so I drove over four hours to get him to do this piece on me.
It’s a chrysanthemum flower, or my own version of it. Chrysanthemums represent optimism and joy. This is one of five tattoos, hoping to become art of a half sleeve one day.
I also have the quote “Never settle for anything less than butterflies” on my other arm..just another optimistic daily reminder!
You can see some of his burns in this picture….
Thank God he’s now in good hands, and has a safe home!
He’ll be a lot happier from now on!
I’ve held him everyday, and he seems really comfortable with me.
I’m comfortable with him now as well… I was kinda iffy at first.
I’m used to small snakes, and this guy isn’t very small!
He’s strong!!
We named him Kodama…
Can anyone tell me what that name is from?
(Without cheating and looking it up!)
Just got this tattoo on my right ribcage for my favorite book House of Leaves. I’ve loved this book and poem for years and I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone!
(P.S. It didn’t show up very well, but “house” is in blue.)Done by Jason at Dermagraphic Studio in Texarkana, TX.

I got this tattoo on December 3rd, 2011 at Medusa Tattoo in Ithaca, New York. It’s a yin yang of a rabbit and a lion, inspired by Florence and the Machine’s song “Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up).” The rabbit’s “good” qualities are that it’s shy, quiet, timid, and cautious, but its negative quality is that at the first sign of conflict, it runs (the “flight” response), and the lion represents strength, bravery, and fierceness, as well as its drawback of being too powerful (the “fight” response). If you live your whole life as a rabbit, you’ll never get to experience anything new, but if your life as a lion, you’ll push people away and intimidate them. Thus, you need to have a balance of both animals and all of their traits (both good and bad) to live a “complete” life.
This was my first tattoo. I got it to mark where I’m at in life, in a way asserting my individuality and independence, but also to remember everything I want right now. So, the significance was more getting a tattoo rather than the tattoo itself. I got an owl because I love owls.
